Zeolite

Natural Zeolites are volcanic materials with unique characteristics. Their unique chemical structure facilitates rapid absorption and ion exchange. Among other things, they have anti-diarrhoeal, antibacterial and antifungal properties. They are used in the healing of cuts and wounds and are effective glucose absorbers, making them highly useful, potentially, for diabetes mellitus patients.

They have also been seen to have immuno-modulatory activity. Zeolite also reduced lipid peroxidatin in the liver of mice. [Zarkovic, N., et. al. 2003 'Antioxidative Effects of Micronised Zeolite Clinoptilolite' Research 23; pgs 1589 - 1596, 2003]

Several toxicological studies of a natural zeolite named clinoptilolite proved that this compound is non-toxic and safe for use in human and veterinary medicine. So far, zeolites have been successfully used as decontaminants - when added to animal diets they reduce the level of heavy metals and organopoisoning, radionuclides and ammonia - as well as antibacterial and antidiarrhoeal agents.

We stock ZeoActive 8 in our clinic. This is an Australian micronised Zeolite in a liquid form with colloidal minerals and stabilised oxygen.
